Geoffrey Antonio Reyes was just 19 when he lost his father, Mario Reyes—a respected master cigar blender with decades of experience. With his passing, the family’s cigar tradition, once known for quality and craftsmanship, was suddenly at risk. The rollers who once filled the factory had moved on, and the legacy stood still. But Geoffrey wasn’t ready to let it go.
Raised around the craft, Geoffrey knew what cigar making meant—not just to his family, but to the town, the rollers, and the culture. With a deep respect for his father’s work and a drive to carry it forward, he began rebuilding—one blend at a time.
Born from legacy, built for today
To honor his father’s legacy and celebrate Nicaragua’s deep connection to the land, Geoffrey created a series of blends named after the country’s iconic volcanoes—Conception, Ometepe, Telica, Cerro Negro, and Maderas. Each blend reflects its own profile, from smooth and sweet to bold and complex.
Made by hand, guided by heritage
With the support of friends who shared his passion, Geoffrey opened a small shop in Granada. It became more than just a place to sell cigars—it became a place to gather. A space where visitors can learn how to roll a cigar by hand. Where you can sit back with an espresso or a pour of aged rum and enjoy the craft up close.
From our family’s hands to yours
To make every cigar the best it can be, Geoffrey sources his tobacco from Estelí—one of the most important cigar regions in the world. The area’s rich volcanic soil is packed with minerals, producing bold, complex tobacco that has made Estelí a go-to for top cigar makers across the globe. Every leaf is hand-selected to meet the highest standards.
Where heritage meets craftsmanship
But Don Reyes is about more than cigars. Geoffrey brought in local artists to shape the shop, filling it with handmade furniture and artwork that reflect the spirit of Nicaragua. Every detail, from the first leaf to the final box, speaks to a deep commitment to tradition, community, and craftsmanship.
